Welcome back to Follow Your Gut. I'm your host, Juniper.
I am so excited to have this conversation with you. A woman recently reached out to me and the message that she shared, I'm gonna share it word for word with you here today because what she is experiencing is something we have all experienced or are currently experiencing in our own way. And I wanna share my response with you because I know this is greatly influencing where you are in your life right now. It's influencing your healing. It's influencing your child's healing or your next level of expansion. And when you have this awareness, you can start to experience really beautiful breakthroughs.
Okay I'm gonna read this message to you and then we're gonna break it down and go into all the parts that I know are very applicable to you right now.
'Hello Juniper. I've been at my wits' end for the past 16 months. My little boy has had difficulties since birth, and I've been trying to find a solution for him everywhere. I've already tried so many things. I came across your page, but something in me didn't want to look at what you were offering because I thought, here we go again, just another person selling supplements. I told myself I'd check it out later after finishing all of my other research on probiotics, calming remedies, Herbs for the nervous system and gut health. Everything felt so fragmented. I've had stomach issues since I was a baby. My belly was always very bloated, and according to my mom, I also slept very poorly. Later in life, I was diagnosed with PCOS, struggled to get pregnant, and surprise, surprise, I still have gut problems.
I have excessive gas and even my body odor has been affected. Now I'm sixteen months postpartum and my son has had reflux from the very beginning. He sleeps extremely poorly, seems unhappy a lot of the time, and clearly struggles with his tummy. He's almost always has mucus in his stool, sometimes gets constipated, and often seems unable to fully empty his bowels.
Yesterday, I finally decided to watch and listen and wow, it all suddenly started to make sense. Through your words, I realized that everything is connected and that I don't have to look for a separate solution for every little symptom. She goes on to ask what my recommendations are, and I will go into that at the end of this episode for you too. But this last part, I am covered in goosebumps reading her message out loud to you.
This is my dream. This is my goal. This has been my mission from the very beginning of only is to help you connect all of the seemingly little symptoms to one whole bigger picture. Let's go back to the beginning of her message. She shared that she found my page, but she didn't want to look. She didn't want to go deeper. I want to explain what happened in that moment because I hear this message all the time. And the follow-up message later is I wish I had just gone for it sooner. What happens in that moment is something that happens to all of us when we are meeting the edge of the next version of ourself. This is her subconscious whose job is to keep her safe.
It associates safe with what is familiar. And so even though she has struggled her whole life with symptoms that are not great for her longevity, for her day to day health and well being, that is her familiar. That is what her subconscious self associates with as safe. And so as soon as she stumbles on my page and her intuition is like, yes, this is the answer.
Her subconscious self gets really loud and it's like, uh-uh, mm-mm. Let's not do that. Let's keep doing all the things that you've been doing your whole life. You're probably gonna find an answer there. Because that subconscious voice is so wise, it's so powerful, and it's so good at doing its job. As you're hearing this, I want you actually, like right now, whether you are driving, you're doing dishes, you're laying in bed, wherever you are listening to this, I want you to wrap your arms around yourself like you are giving yourself the biggest hug. And I want you to say, Dearest me, the deepest part of me, subconscious self, I love you, I appreciate you, I see that you are keeping me safe, and I've got us. I've got me. We are moving forward together, and it is okay for me to accept that this is the answer.
This woman already knows with everything in her body that this is going to work. That's why it feels scary. That's why her subconscious self is derailing her and circling her back to all of the things that she's already researched a thousand times and all of the things that she's already tried. And why it's also using all of that as evidence as to why this is not going to work.
She's already tried so many things. She's already tried the probiotics. She's already tried all of the things, right? So of course, this is just another thing, another person that's selling something that's not going to work. But she came back here, and I'm so proud of her for coming back here. And I'm so proud of all of you who have done the exact same thing. You've experienced this exact same pattern and you've decided to push through and you've decided to come back.
Because you allowed your intuition to speak louder than your subconscious voice. When we do that, that is when we get to experience healing. Most times for the first time in our lives.
All of the symptoms that she shared, from her belly always being bloated, to even her mom sharing that she was a really poor sleeper as an infant, to later being diagnosed with PCOS and struggling to get pregnant, now having excessive gas and her body odor being affected. This all stems back to your gut. So I wanna zoom out for just a minute and explain something that I wish.
Every birth worker knew is that our gut microbiome is directly influenced by our mothers. Our children's is directly influenced by ours.
We are inoculating them with our microbiome. Our microbiome becomes the foundation of their health, of every system in their body. This is what happened with me and my son. I unknowingly lived most of my life with a gut imbalance. I had what I would consider little I'm saying this in quotes, l there's no symptom that is little, but I would consider them little symptoms that were unrelated.
I would get really bad seasonal allergies. I would get pimples leading up to my period. I have extreme ADHD and I just thought that that was just part of who I am. I didn't know that all three of those things were interconnected at the foundational level of my body, in my gut.
So I had my daughter and what I didn't know at the time is that with each subsequent pregnancy, our microbiome becomes more and more compromised because our bodies are working really, really hard and we experience extreme hormone fluctuations, which is really beautiful and really natural, but it is very hard on our microbiome. So when I had my second, I unknowingly passed an imbalance onto him and within the first three months of life he developed multiple symptoms, exactly as this woman is explaining her child experienced.
Extreme reflux, really poor sleep, unhappy, struggles with his tummy, has a really hard time pooping and fully clearing his bowels. All of this indicates that she passed an imbalance on during birth. This can be really hard information to hear. This is not to place guilt on you. This is information that is here to empower you so that you know.
How to do it differently in your next pregnancy. And also to encourage you to know it is never too late to heal. My son struggled. He lived in survival mode for two and a half years until I finally figured this out and I was able to completely heal his body and reverse every single symptom. He is a thriving 12-year-old boy now who is unstoppable.
He does not have symptoms standing in his way for anything that he desires to do. He is the best sleeper. He has the healthiest poops. He is the healthiest eater. He used to be so picky. And now he he will eat anything. He loves food.
This is what becomes possible for you when you do this foundational work. And when you stop wasting your time, you stop s wasting your energy, spinning your wheels and trying to piece different pieces together, and you stop fragmenting your health and you listen to your intuition over your subconscious voice and you decide to go all in and heal with a methodology that makes so much intuitive sense that you can't believe you didn't do it sooner. You can't believe that everybody doesn't know this. This is my purpose. This is why I'm here. This is why I'm sitting up on top of a mountain sharing this message with you.
Because I wish so badly when my son had was struggling. Even when I go back to my teenage self, my younger self, who was who had pimples and I was so embarrassed, or who had seasonal allergies so bad, I couldn't have a conversation because I was sneezing over and over and over, and my eyes were so watery.
I dreaded spring and summer because my seasonal allergies were so bad. I wish that someone had just handed me this information and said, Here, it healing isn't always easy, but it is this simple. Healing can be this simple. Here is the whole picture. Whether you are dealing with PCOS or your child is covered in a head-to-toe rash.
Whatever your symptoms are, they stem from your gut. And when you lean in, you listen to your intuition, and you embrace the healing, you're going to find yourself and find your child experiencing a level of thriving that you could have never imagined existed.
So her question is, where do I recommend starting? She asked, should I begin supporting my son first, or would it be better for both of us to start together? I always recommend starting together. Rebalancing together is an experience I wish every mother, child, spouse was able to experience. You get to settle into deeper sleep and a calm inside your body.
When you rebalance, you're not only clearing the bad bacteria, yeast, mold, fungus, parasites, heavy metals, and toxins that are creating inflammation and the thing behind your symptom. You're restoring your microbiome, which means you're restoring your vitality, you're restoring your ability to ease into restful sleep. You're restoring your body's ability to absorb the nutrients in your foods, you're restoring your cells so that they are able to optimally use the energy from the other vitamins that you're taking or the vitamins and the nutrients in your food and in your water and in the air that you breathe. And what you get to experience when your body is in balance is a s something you c I can't even put into words here. I can share testimonials, I can share screenshots of messages that I've received, but none of it really do it justice. I can I could write a novel about all of the ways that my life has changed since finding balance and maintaining that balance and a f a whole series of novels about how it's looked different for each of my children and my husband Ty.
None of that you still it it it's a it's an experience that you just can't put into words. It's an experience that once you feel it, you're just like, my gosh, I want this for everyone in the world. I want everyone to experience this healing.
I want to encourage you to keep leaning into your intuition. Acknowledge and embrace and love your subconscious self that is doing such a remarkable job keeping you safe.
But give yourself full permission to listen to your intuition. Even if it doesn't fully make sense yet. Even if it feels scary. I invite you to go all in. Now, a last little thing that I just have to share because I'm so excited. We are making huge updates. You will see a new website very soon. And along with that, I'm redoing the entire course that comes free with your rebalance kits I'm always looking for ways to streamline this process for you and to make it as easeful and as supportive to you as possible. So the new course will be more interactive. There's going to be like an audit that you fill out at the beginning.
And then you'll do it midway through and then again at the end so that you can track your progress. It's there's there's so much coming. There's so much coming, and it's gonna be called the healing home. It's like your hub where if you've taken my quiz, your quiz results will live there. If you've gotten my shopping list tool, that will live there. All of your menu plans will live there. We're creating so many really exciting tools to be able to share with you to make this fun for you. Healing isn't always fun and healing can feel very lonely and isolating at times and it doesn't have to. So just very excited to share that. If you are rebalancing or if you've rebalanced previously, you will always get these updates and they'll just they're always available to you.
So can't wait to share more soon. Grateful for you being here with me and I'll catch you in the next episode.
