It's not a quick fix. It's a commitment to consistency.
Striving for perfectionism might seem like a noble pursuit, but in reality, it's a form of self-sabotage. When we set unrealistic expectations that we cannot achieve, we set ourselves up to fail. This cycle becomes a barrier to healing, making us believe that unless we are perfect, we cannot heal.
Today, we are diving into the destructive cycle of perfectionism and how it sabotages our progress, particularly in our motherhood and microbiome healing journeys.

I am not perfect. You are not perfect. This is beautiful. It makes us human. Humans that get to experience life right here right now exactly as it is.
The elusive idea of perfectionism is like carrying a burden that we were never meant to bear. When we expect the impossible from ourselves, we inadvertently set ourselves up for disappointment. It's a trap we all fall into, but it is important to know that evolving and healing cannot coexist with perfectionism. You don't need to do everything perfect to heal; what you need is a heart full of compassion and the courage to accept healing.
Healing the microbiome is a journey within a journey. It's not a quick fix; it's a commitment to consistency. The microbes in your body, especially in your gut, are like delicate flowers that need time, attention, and the right environment to bloom. Consistency, not perfectionism, is the key. Focus on the daily rituals that nourish your family, instead of fixating on unattainable ideals.
Our journey towards healing, whether for ourselves or our children, is not a race; it's a gradual, often winding path. Each step, no matter how small, is a victory in itself. The struggles you've faced? They've sculpted you into the resilient, compassionate person you are today. You are here now, not despite your past, but because of it, ready to receive abundant health and happiness. But in order to receive it you have to be willing to accept the process, imperfections and all.
With each mindful choice you make – every nourishing meal, every moment of calm, and every night of restful sleep – you're laying the foundation for a healthier, happier future. The beauty lies in the small, consistent steps. It’s not about reaching a destination of perfection, but rather, embracing the imperfect yet beautiful journey of healing.
Your perception shapes your reality. So, in order to heal, you must shed the weight of perfectionism and focus on the process. Imagine your vision of abundant health and happiness for your family not as a distant, unattainable goal, but as a gentle, guiding light illuminating your path. It leads you toward a future where healing, love, and happiness flourish. When you show up in this frequency you make all the little choices that lead to your ultimate goal with ease. It makes meal planning easy, it makes going to bed on time easy. It makes waking up early to meditate the easiest thing you have ever done. Because your focus has shifted. You aren’t worried about doing everything right, instead you are focused on the life you want to experience and you show up ready to receive it. In this frequency you know that an accidental missed dose of your gut balancing supplements isn’t a big deal. You know that letting your child indulge on Halloween isn’t going to defeat all the work you have put into healing their gut. Because you trust in the process.
Be patient with yourself. Be patient with your child. Healing the microbiome is a gradual process, but with time and consistency, you will witness the transformation. Your skin will glow, your sleep will deepen, you will experience more brain clarity than ever before and life will become easier. You will of course experience hard days but you will see them as part of the process. Focus on the journey, not the destination. I am so damn grateful to be living in this frequency with you. Thank you for joining me today.
